4th Grade Has a Hands On History Lesson
4th grade traveled back in time for a hands on experience to learn more about early San Mateo County/California history. The class had the opportunity to take a field trip to Pacifica to visit Sanchez Adobe. Sanchez Adobe is a living history site that was occupied from prehistoric Indian times until it became a historic landmark in 1953. The students made candles, learned how to rope a cow like the vaqueros, and got in the “mud pit” to make bricks.
