Student Council Members Installed
The members of the St. Raymond School Student Council officially took office after the First Friday mass in September. The students pictured below were elected at the end of the 2015-16 school year and are enthusiastic about assuming their leadership roles this year. The Student Council is led by faculty member, Ms. Valerie Mattei. They meet once a week during lunch and assist with various projects and activities throughout the school year. The Student Council members are currently planning their first “Spirit Rally”. The Spirit Rally will be a fun event for the whole school which will include Sports Awards, cheering contests and skits. Discussions are being held about various fundraising possibilities, and which charitable causes the Council would like to support this school year. In November the Student Council will spearhead their annual coat drive, in conjunction with the St. Raymond Parish and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Last year they collected over 300 coats for the homeless and poor in our community. St. Raymond is proud of the dedication and commitment of these student leaders.
