8th Graders Experience Yosemite National Park

8th Graders Experience Yosemite National Park

The Class of 2018 started off the year experiencing the wonder and beauty of Yosemite National Park with their classmates.  This annual trek is a highlight of the school year for our 8th graders.  It serves as both an educational experience and an opportunity to bond as they embark on their final year at St. Raymond School.  During the day, the students are divided into groups and led by NatureBridge environmental science educators on a wide variety of activities and adventures.  This year's 8th grade class had an unforgettable experience as pictured below.

The students took part in a "Trust and Teamwork" game to "Honor The Sages". The team had to work together to help each other retrieve their water bottles from the center of a giant circle without touching the HOT lava in the area inside the circle.  They had to rely on each other and problem solve as a group.
