Navy Lieutenant Colorado Gives 5th Grade a Lesson on the American Flag

Navy Lieutenant Colorado Gives 5th Grade a Lesson on the American Flag

The 5th grade class has the responsibility of raising the lowering the flag at St. Raymond School each day.  St. Raymond Dad and Navy Lieutenant, Camilo Colorado, paid a visit to the 5th grade class to talk about the American flag - its' symbolism and meaning.  He showed the 5th graders the proper way to fold the flag and instilled in the students the importance of having respect for our flag.  The 5th graders enjoyed hearing about Lieutenant Colorado's years serving in the Navy. They asked a lot of interesting questions and shared stories of relatives who also served our country in the military.
