The Last Supper: School Families Participate in Lenten Activity
St. Raymond School students gathered with their "school families" this morning to participate in a Lenten activity centered around the Last Supper and Lenten reflections. The students read a story about the Last Supper and then took part in some grape juice and crackers, and a discussion of the meaning and symbolism of the Last Supper. The students also discussed their Lenten promises and completed a reflection paper showing how well they kept their promises, and how their Lenten promise brought them closer to God.
Students from grades K-8 are placed into "school families" and take part in a variety of activities throughout the school year that focus on teamwork, kindness, service and faith. Students stay with the same family from Kindergarten to 8th grade, building community across grade levels.
