2nd Grade Celebrates 100 Days of School

2nd Grade Celebrates 100 Days of School

Second grade is learning about money, so our Second Grade teacher, Ms. Carlisle, came up with a fun and engaging way to incorporate a math lesson into the celebration of the 100th day of school.  The students worked in groups to find how many different ways they could make 100 cents or one dollar.  They also completed a poster where they filled in the blanks in four categories.  "I wish I had 100 ___________", "If I had 100 _________", "I want to eat 100 ______________" and "I can do 100 _____________.  The students has fun coming up with responses including "puppies", "cookies", "hand stands" and "soccer goals"!  At the end of the 100th day of school, the children took home cookies and a homework pass.
