8th Grade Boys Basketball Competes for League Championship

St. Raymond School 8th grade Boys A basketball team concluded a stellar season competing in the PPSL Final game last Thursday night at Serra High School against Our Lady of Angels.  Our 8th grade boys finished with a record of 23-6, making it one of the most successful teams in St. Raymond School history.  The team played in five tournaments, winning the Ray Herold Championship, and finishing 11-4 overall in tournament games.  Jameson O. was named to the St. Nicholas All-Tournament Team and Kevin C. made the St. Simons All -Tournament  team for the second year in a row. Among the more impressive season wins were two over San Francisco CYO powerhouse, St. Brendans, as well as two victories over eventual PPSL Champion OLA.  Led by coaches Scott Evars, Sean Carney and Bryan McCanna, the 8th graders competing on the team included Nico A., Kevin C., Ryan C., Tyler E., Drew M., Ryan M,, and Jameson O.   Congratulations on an outstanding season!
