Cardinals Show Their Spirit!
Directly after a successful Jogathon, which took place on the thirteenth of April, Saint Raymond School held yet another fun Spirit Rally. Student council began the Spirit Rally with a dance off, encouraging even those who were tired from the Jogathon to get up and dance. Next, student council held a teacher versus student three-legged race. Those participating in the event were Lucy C. and Emily W., who lost to our favorite second grade teachers, Ms. Carlisle and Mrs. Huffman. The student’s loss resulted in the teachers being showered with lots of love from the Second Grade, and the declaration of a rematch. During the second round of the race, the students won, but Ms. Carlisle and Mrs. Huffman still received hugs from their students. After this entertaining event ended, our Religion Commissioner, Tyler Evars, led the whole school in a prayer for the track team, who are in the middle of a successful season. Afterwards, all students who had birthdays in months ranging from December to April were given birthday pencils and were serenaded by the rest of the school. Finally, after much waiting, came Saint Raymond School’s traditional cheer competition, which was won by Fourth Grade. After much debate, a second and third place winner was decided. Seventh Grade ended up taking second place, and was only a few steps ahead of Eighth Grade, which took third. Although this was this year’s last spirit rally, everyone participating had a great time, as always.
