Welcome Back to School!
The school year is off to a very busy start here at St. Raymond. Beginning August 16th with the Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten orientation and welcome reception, our faculty members were introduced and parents gathered to learn about what’s in store for our youngest students and to get acquainted with the faculty and each other.
The faculty and staff spent Monday and Tuesday on campus preparing to greet the students Wednesday morning. Wednesday was an exciting day as the students explored their new classrooms, got to know their teachers and learned about what’s in store for the school year.
While the students were getting acclimated, the Mothers’ Club also gathered at their annual first day of school meeting to begin to plan for the year and welcome new families to our community. Mothers’ Club President, Laura Smith, announced her theme for the school year, “Be the Difference”. She also introduced Mothers’ Club officers for the 2019-20 school year — Kiki Boyd - Vice President, Jen Arata - Secretary, Jamie Slocum - Treasurer, and Laura Smith - Treasurer Elect.
Back to School night on Thursday proved to be a great success. Parents enjoyed having the opportunity to get acquainted with our new faculty members and learn about the expectations for the school year from their children’s classroom teacher.
We wrapped up the week with the Back to School Barbecue. Organized by Julie Hood and Jessica Kiely the evening on Daschbach Field gave everyone an opportunity to reconnect and was a wonderful way to kick off the 2019-20 school year.
